This is a great opportunity for an experienced Aftersales Manager to join our Maidstone branch, where you will have the chance to really make the role your own and support the continuous growth of the team. The Role - Aftersales Manager
Working in a team you will oversee the smooth running of the workshop ensuring utilisation of resources, materials, and equipment in a cost-effective manner. You will be required to supervise the workshop technicians to understand work in progress and manage the aftersales advisors on service and warranty. You will also provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly. Your ability to effectively communicate with customers will help build strong relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
You will be responsible for ensuring all members of the aftersales team allocate and schedule repair and maintenance tasks efficiently to maximise the potential of the department, ensuring deadlines are met and customer expectations are exceeded. You will also need to be able to be hands on when required.
Aftersales Manager – other duties include:
• Accurately cost jobs and prepare quotations, invoices and taking payments.
• Monitor and control progress to ensure tasks are completed in line with estimated/ quoted times.
• Assist colleagues with technical advice and mechanical knowledge.
• Monitor workshop performance metrics and implement improvements as necessary.
• Oversee the management of insurance repairs and warranty claims.
• Management of MOT testing requirements.
• Ensure department is compliant with Health and Safety requirements.
• Conduct periodic quality control checks to maintain high standards.
About you - Aftersales Manager
You will need to be organised and be able to maintain maximum efficiency and profitability whilst providing high level of customer satisfaction.
In addition, you will need to have proven experience in car or motorcycle repair and maintenance. Have strong communication, organisational skills, and interpersonal abilities, and be good at problem-solving technical challenges and customer concerns.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Previous management experience in a workshop environment.
• Have a customer service-oriented mindset with good communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in any situation.
• Have a commitment to good quality control.
• Ability to use computers competently (Excel, Word, Outlook & internal systems).
• Ability to multi-task and organise teams/tasks to maximise output.
• A full and valid motorcycle licence.
