Harley-Davidson® has launched a brand new adventure centre in Wales with Dakar legend Mick Extance.
The adventure centre offers a one-day on- and off-road experience catered to your skill level and confidence with the use of the new Harley-Davidson® Pan America™ 1250 Special. Included in the rider experience package is intimate training with Mick, a full riding kit and helmet, fuel, insurance and lunch at the 4☆ Lake Vyrnwy Hotel.

The Terrain
The H-D® Adventure Centre is based on a huge 1,500 acres of private woodland and it showcases some utterly breathtaking landscapes you'll never forget. You'll be able to learn at your own pace without the pressure of being in a large group with the experience tailored to a more intimate class. The class sizes are no larger than two riders to an instructor, to keep the class as personal as possible. Even if you've never been off-road before you'll learn everything you need to blast across the tracks in no time and maybe a jump or two as well!
Taking on some of the toughest terrains Wales has to offer, you'll be at one with nature... and a Harley® of course.
The Bike
Get ready to experience adventure in a new light with a motorcycle built to exceed in all conditions. Equipped with fantastic power, confidence-inspiring control, and electronic aids to push you further, is the Harley-Davidson® Pan America™ 1250 Special.
The Pan America™ 1250 Special has a minimum seat height of 850mm and features the award-winning Adaptive Ride Height system which allows the motorcycle to automatically lower when the bike is at a standstill. Harley-Davidson® produced the Pan America™ to be different to anything their riders have experienced before and together with the Adventure Centre you'll be able to discover everything it can do...
The Team
They have only the best at the H-D® Adventure Centre! The team have combined experience of over 60 years, so you can rest assured you'll be in the best hands. The team is especially great at tailoring the adventure experience to each riders' confidence and skill level, helping you to progress your riding skills and address key points you may need assistance within.
The course is hosted by Mick Extance and his son Adam Extance, who together produce an unforgettable day out. With experience and knowledge that speaks for themselves, these two legends will be sure to enhance your skills and build on your riding confidence. In addition to Mick & Adam, there are guest top-level riders who will assist to bring the very best out of every guest.
A Dakar legend...
From a small paper round job, Mick was able to buy his first motorcycle at the age of 15. It didn't take Mick long to compete in his first trial, where he won - displaying some showstopping natural two-wheeled skills. There laid the roots of a very successful champion who has entered seven Dakar Rallies - finishing five of these - and is now registered for Dakar 2023
Despite having recently recovered from a brain tumour just last year. Mick hasn't let that stop him. Showing tremendous spirit he is now back to sharing his extensive knowledge with those who want to learn.
