Got the need for speed?

Welcome to 'Category collections', a dedicated Laguna Motorcycles series which showcases the latest and greatest from some of the motorcycle brands we stock. This week we asked Karl (Sales Advisor), to round up some of the zippiest, showstopping models available today.

Let's get started with the Sport Bikes!

Scroll down for more information on the round-up...

The Bikes...

Ducati Panigale V2

The Panigale V2 is not for the faint-hearted, featuring a whopping 155hp engine (@ 10,750rpm) with an adrenaline-pumping 104Nm torque (@ 9,000rpm). This ride is as light as a feather. Weighing in at only 178kg (388 lb), the bike becomes an agile beast in the corners with a confidence-inspiring lean angle allowance.

The bike incorporates some track technology we don't always see on road bikes such as DWC (Ducati Wheelie Control), EBC (Engine Brake Control) and DDA + GPS (Ducati Data Analyser + GPS). On top of the track features, there's an extensive list of road creature comforts too, like the DMS (Ducati Multimedia System), selectable riding modes and ABS Bosch Cornering EVO.

Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR

The Speed Triple 1200 RR is a thrill-seeking missile ready to elevate your riding adrenaline boost. With clip-on bars, a stunning cockpit and sophisticated design, you'll feel like royalty. Boasting a 1160cc engine churning out a whopping 180PS and 125Nm torque, you'll see a new meaning for the word speed.

Straight from the factory, you'll receive race-spec tyres giving ultimate grip and the latest suspension from Ohlins - with their Smart EC 2.0 electronically-adjustable semi-active suspension delivering class-leading performance, comfort and control.

Suzuki GSX-R125

Small yet mighty, the GSX-R125 takes the lightweight sport bike category by storm with its DOHC engine, providing the rider with exceptional fuel consumption and strong torque power. Sitting at 137kg ready to ride, the GSX-R125 is light and compact. Giving ultimate control in the corners for a fun and sporty ride.

Packed with the latest technology, the GSX-R125 features keyless ignition, aerodynamic bodywork, LED lighting and Suzuki's Easy Start System.

Yamaha R7

A force not to be messed with is the Yamaha R7, forcing out the power of 73.4PS (@8,750rpm), you'll be gone like the wind. The 270-degree crank gives an uneven firing interval that ensures a lively and exciting feel as that rev needle rises. Yamaha has pumped just as many features into the bike as power - as this motorcycle comes with an assist & slipper clutch, inverted 41mm KYB front forks, an adjustable shock absorber and lightweight 10-spoke wheels.

A valid member of the legendary R family for Yamaha, you'll get all of that A-Class attitude the brand is renowned for.

Kawasaki ZX-10R

Beat all opponents with the Kawasaki ZX-10R, giving you the very best in Kawasaki sports engineering. Built within an extremely sophisticated aerodynamic body is a liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, 998cc engine pumping out 203 PS  (@13,200rpm) and 114.9Nm torque (@11,400rpm).

This bike brings racing research into the street market, with integrated winglets, a TFT colour display with smartphone connectivity and 4 selectable rider modes. Up your Sports Bike game with the absolutely breathtaking Kawasaki ZX-10R.

KTM RC 390

The KTM RC 390 is a high-performance Supersports motorcycle with noticeable inspiration from track racing models. Featuring an impressive technology package, in addition to meaty power and handling characteristics you'll be smiling from ear to ear.

A proven engine capable of maximum adrenaline pumping force, the RC 390 packs a smooth yet hard-hitting powerhouse delivery with a state-of-the-art powerplant churning out unmatched performance.

Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP

An icon within the Honda range, the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP hosts some of the latest there is to offer within motorcycle racing technology. It has quickly become one of the most used models within Moto racing and offers huge riding benefits unmatched in the industry. Built with Ohlins Smart Electronic Control (S-EC) suspension, Brembo brakes and a quick shifter - you instantly notice the build quality of the blade.

This flame offers a max power output of 160kW (@14,500rpm) and a max torque output of 113Nm (@12,500rpm) - it's not to be taken lightly.

Laguna Motorcycles Limited (which include multiple trading names: Laguna Motorcycles, Laguna Performance Centre, Laguna Triumph, Maidstone Honda, Maidstone Harley-Davidson® and Kent Motorcycles) is an Appointed Representative of Automotive Compliance Ltd who is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA No. 497010). Automotive Compliance Ltd’s permissions as a Principal Firm allows Laguna Motorcycles Limited (which include multiple trading names: Laguna Motorcycles, Laguna Performance Centre, Laguna Triumph, Maidstone Honda, Maidstone Harley-Davidson® and Kent Motorcycles) to act as a credit broker, not a lender, for the introduction to a limited number of lenders, and to act as an agent on behalf of the insurer for insurance distribution activities only.

We are a credit broker and not a lender. We can introduce you to a carefully selected panel of lenders, which includes manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent. We act on behalf of the lender for this introduction and not as your agent. We are not impartial, and we are not an independent financial advisor.

Our approach is to introduce you first to the manufacturer lender linked directly to the particular franchise you are purchasing your vehicle from, who are usually able to offer the best available package for you, taking into account both interest rates and other contributions. If they are unable to make you an offer of finance, we then seek to introduce you to whichever of the other lenders on our panel is able to make the next most suitable offer of finance for you. Our aim is to secure a suitable finance agreement for you that enables you to achieve your financial objectives. If you purchase a vehicle, in the majority of cases, we will receive a commission from your lender for introducing you to them which is either a fixed fee, or a fixed percentage of the amount that you borrow. This may be linked to the vehicle model you purchase.

Different lenders pay different commissions for such introductions, and manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement; however, you will be contributing towards the commission paid to us with the interest collected on your repayments. Before we propose you to a potential lender, we will inform you of the likely amount of commission we will receive and seek your consent to receive this commission. The exact amount of commission that we will receive will be confirmed prior to you signing your finance agreement.

All finance applications are subject to status, terms and conditions apply, UK residents only, 18s or over. Guarantees may be required. Please see our complaints page for our complaints policiy and regulatory complaints.
